What is Cyber Essentials Certification?
Cyber Essentials is an industry-supported scheme, endorsed by the Government, to help protect organisations against common online threats. The scheme provides organisations with the opportunity to achieve two types of Cyber Essentials certification:

Cyber Essentials: is a self-certification process, whereby you complete the Cyber Essentials questionnaire, then it is quickly assessed by one of our cyber security experts. We offer Consultancy hours to go with this.
- Cyber Essentials Plus: involves an external and internal vulnerability scan of your network. Defensity Ltd is a Certified Cyber Essential Plus Certification Body. Due to the pandemic, this testing is currently performed remotely.

Cyber Essentials was launched in 2014, by the UK National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC).

With Assessment only, if your business fails, we will give some guidance via Assessor notes in the assessment on how to address the problematic area and upto two more attempts. If you have a supported package, we will provide consultancy.
Cyber Essentials Certification is valid for a 1 year period. Every year, your organisation will need to recertify.
